The top sea turtle design is cut out of steel and powder coated. It's a sturdy top that will last a long time! The glass is cut and melted from bottles rescued from the dump by the artist at Bottle Benders Studio.
Eight circles in a range of blues- clear, cobalt, ice blue, and teal- and a blue colored disk at the bottom make up this chime. Arrangement of colors will vary. All the fishing line used to hang it is UV resistant and will last for a long time.
Bottle Benders
In 1970 Jean & Ted solved the riddle for making awesome glass bottle chimes. Their first chimes were Michelob beer bottles melted & hung off a tree branch. Over the years they've turned just about every kind of bottle into a wind chime. Some were more successful than others, but after 50 years they've perfected the art.
Now just a small team of five, Ted & Jean work with their daughters & daughter-in-law to create each wind chime in their Georgia studio.
