Scooter is a pelican that has had some difficulty getting off the ground. He devised a cap that has propeller blades to aid in his elevation. So far the jury is still out on whether Scooter will be doing aerial maneuvers any time soon. He is quite a handsome pelly and his matching shoes give his sore feet a break as he walks across the hot sand. It's tough being a pelican that's grounded.
Scooter was sculpted using resilient Cosclay over a foil and wire armature. He's mounted on a reclaimed wood base and has a few coats of a gloss clear coat varnish. Scooter's propeller blades are made from Yasso frozen yogurt pop sticks. I love Yasso and save the sticks for random tasks like mixing 2-part epoxy.
Scooter measures right around 9" tall and including his base he's 11" tall.
