Jasmine Steinaker
Jasmine Steinacker grew up in Ridgewood, New Jersey. After pursuing art for many years, Steinacker went to the Virginia Commonwealth University for Photography. Upon exploration, she came across the art of glass blowing. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Glass Fabrication and Photography + Film from Virginia Commonwealth University. Jasmine currently resides in Asheville, North Carolina as a full time artist.
Jasmine Steinacker’s glass art is a fusion of inspiration from nature, the fluidity of memory, and the precision of coldworking. Often inspired by sea creatures and plants, Jasmine’s practice is deeply rooted in the transformative power of glass. She spends time meticulously carving, engraving, and polishing much of her work; often conveying abstract messages. Her work captures a sense of nostalgia, inviting viewers to explore the depths of their own experiences. Through Jasmine’s art, she celebrates the beauty of life’s frequent fluctuations.
