Mimi Mug
Mimi Mug
The maker of these mugs gets their clay from a NC supplier who's facilities was destroyed by Helene. Because of that, the artist will now have to find a new supplier and clay body that is compatible with their glazes. Depending on how far their current clay supplies go, it's unsure if we'll be getting another order in 2024. If you've been thinking about getting one of these mugs, get it now! We don't know when they'll be back.
Grandparents deserve their own special mug! This mug by, artists Alan & Nancy Stegall, is perfect for Grandmothers who go by Mimi.
- 4.5" tall
- Holds 10 oz.
- Handmade in the USA
- Slight variations in the glaze will occur
Alan & Nancy Stegall
While Alan was stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Hawaii, we spent a few weeks in the base hobby shop. We quickly decided we would rather design and make our own pieces. A bag of clay and a few fruitless hours at the potter's wheel and it was evident we needed lessons! We were also convinced we had started a long and interesting, often frustrating, but never boring journey with clay!
Though we pursued careers in computer science and nursing, working with clay continued to be a part of our daily life. With Alan's retirement from the Air Force, we could think of no more rewarding way to spend our time together than producing our functional pottery at our home in the Tennessee mountains.
