Heron Glass Chime
Heron Glass Chime
This artist is retiring. We are takin customer orders for all designs through Monday, April 15. Those orders will ship in 2-3 weeks.
The heron design top is cut out of steel and powder coated. It's a sturdy top that will last a long time! The glass is cut and melted from bottles rescued from the dump by the artist at Bottle Benders Studio.
Eight circles hung clear to green to blue in color with blue and green colored dots and a blue disk at the bottom make up this chime. All the fishing line used to hang it is UV resistant and will last for a long time.
Bottle Benders
In 1970 Jean & Ted solved the riddle for making awesome glass bottle chimes. Their first chimes were Michelob beer bottles melted & hung off a tree branch. Over the years they've turned just about every kind of bottle into a wind chime. Some were more successful than others, but after 50 years they've perfected the art.
Now just a small team of five, Ted & Jean work with their daughters & daughter-in-law to create each wind chime in their Georgia studio.
