There's one thing that you can say about Betta Fish, they certainly are colorful and this new Betta is no exception.
9" x 6" x 11"h
Created as a swimming fish, giving her body curve as she wriggles through the water. If she were to be straightened her length would be greater than 9". She also has texture to represent her scales and gills. The fish goes through multiple sessions in the oven and once fully cured, the markings are hand painting using acrylics. She also gets multiple coats of a beautiful protective gloss varnish.
Care and Feeding - even with a protective clear coat, it is NOT recommended to display this fish outside in the elements. Over time the protective coat may wear off and leave the acrylic paint vulnerable to the elements. The acrylics are lightfast so no worry that they will fade if placed near a window. Care is simple, just wipe with a soft cloth to remove any dust.

In my adult life, I’ve had a few different careers, all of which were in a management capacity. None were related to my Bachelor in Fine Arts degree. Each one of those jobs had the same thing in common: art was in my life as a stabilizer, a way to keep me centered and, sometimes, a huge stress reliever.
In 2002 I was able to make the transition to full-time artist. I was a potter first and then had a slow transition to polymer clay starting in 2015. I find comfort in making things; coming up with solutions; learning how to use new materials and adding new techniques to my arsenal.
