Growing up in Vermont, Marion Seaholts loved her summers working with her grandmother in the garden for hours on end. It was then that Marion first realized that she could combine her passions for art, sewing and gardening, and she started making windsocks for display in gardens.

While attending Philadelphia College of Art (University of the Arts), Marion sold her handmade windsocks on Philadelphia's funky South Street. After graduating with a BS in Industrial Design in 1986, she made Vermont her home and today her windsocks, flags, standards and custom projects are found on lawns, gardens, beaches, and outdoor settings across the country.
