Lisa is the owner and designer at ellembee! She started her company in 2008 when she was laid off from her job as a bedding designer in Southern California. After losing her job, she moved back to her Michigan hometown. She started ellembee out of her mom's basement (!!!) for the first 4 years. For the past 10 years, they've been working out of a 2,000-square-foot warehouse. Who knew that getting laid off would be the best thing to ever happen to her! The team prints each towel, zipper pouch, tote, and onesie by hand, using eco-friendly, water-based ink. Lisa said," I have a small team of amazing hustlers helping to make ellembee the best it can be. they are an all-female team with 4 shop dogs that make the warehouse the best place to work! "
