I thank my dad for his encouragement and a constant stream of supplies and odds and ends to keep me busy. As a young adult I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University. It was at FAU that I began my trek down whimsy lane with a specialty in Ceramics and Sculpture. I continued down that path for over 30 years, both as a hobbyist as well as a professional potter. My claims to fame were being featured on an HGTV show called That's Clever back in 2009, having three of my fish teapots purchased by the prestigious Kamm Foundation and are part of their Teapot Collection. After working with clay from the earth for decades I made the decision to change media and moved over to Polymer clay for my whimsical sculptures. I now put my work in the category of multi-media versus pigeonholing myself into just one category. I have discovered that polymer is a perfect match for the pieces that are in my head and I love the fact that I can actually make it happen. I have been working with polymer going back to 2001, but still devoting my time to ceramic clay. Then about ten years ago a friend asked me to make something special and my first thought went to polymer. From there I spent several years working as a potter for functional ware and polymerer for sculptures.
